ACL (Access Control List) Permissions

Datatailr uses an ACL-based permissions model to manage access to all resources, including workspaces, workflows, applications, data and more.

Each resource has an associated ACL that defines which users or groups have specific permissions on that resource. The main permission levels are:

  • Read: Viewing the resource and its metadata.
  • Write: Modifying the resource, including updating its configuration and content.
  • Operate: Executing or running the resource, such as starting a workflow or a service.
  • Access: Connecting to the resource, such as accessing a workspace.
  • Promote: Promoting the resource to a higher environment or stage, such as from development to production.
